Study Of Poems By Jiangxi Poet Monks In The Northern Song Dynasty

Song monk poetry is not only an important part of Buddhism culture,but also an integral part of the vast Song poetry.Many poet monks in the Northern Song Dynasty,except for the most famous CanLiao and HuiHong,which are particularly concerned by researchers,most of the other poet monks and their poems are unknown.Therefore,this thesis chooses the monks’ poems in Jiangxi Province of Northern Song Dynasty as the research object,and tires to show the overall style of Jiangxi poet monks.This thesis reads the poems of monks in Jiangxi in the Northern Song Dynasty through text analysis,then link the history of the literature and social history,understand the social culture and the background of the times,and hope to start the discussion with a sufficient understanding of the work.This thesis mainly discusses from four aspects:The first chapter is a comprehensive investigation of the reasons for the emergence of poet monks in Jiangxi in the Northern Song Dynasty.The main reasons are as followers:On the whole,the rulers of the literary boom in the Northern Song Dynasty implemented benign Buddhist policies.Scholars and Doctors group experience learning Buddhist scriptures and meditating,and Monk group also revamped Buddhist purpose.Geographically speaking,the development of agricultural economy and the construction of temples in the Jiangxi region of the Northern Song Dynasty,there are numerous Buddhist denominations and monks in Jiangxi.Coupled with the emergence of literati in Jiangxi during the Song Dynasty,monks and literati had close contacts.By collecting the collected date,we can see the overall status of the poet monks in Jiangxi in the Northern Song Dynasty and the preservation of their poems.The second chapter explores the main content of the poetry of monks in Jiangxi in the Northern Song Dynasty.The characteristics of the selection of monk poetry in the Northern Song Dynasty were developed based on the monk poetry of the Tang Dynasty.In terms of popular poetry,we can find that poet monks mentioned more about daily life in poetry,and the secular tendency was more obvious.The third chapter analyzes the literary contributions of the poet monks of Jiangxi in the Northern Song Dynasty,including three parts:First,the richness of monk poetry in Jiangxi regional literature;Second,the development of Buddhist poetry,Buddhist sects of Wenzi and Kanhua,their influence on monks’ poetry.Third,the influence of Buddhist purpose on the theory of poetry creation.For example,the emergence of Huang Tingjian’s poetry theory of "Recapture" and "Point Iron into Gold".The fourth chapter studies the influence of Jiangxi poet monks in the Northern Song Dynasty on Jiangxi regional literature.The emergence of the poetic monk group is closely related to the Jiangxi Poetry School.How the creative style and creative ideas of Jiangxi poet monks in the Northern Song Dynasty promoted the development and change of Jiangxi Poetic School.The thesis summarizes the common characteristics of Jiangxi poet monks in the Northern Song Dynasty,but also pays attention to the different personalities of poems written by individual poet monks when analyzing poetry.The combination of generality and personality forms a harmonious and unified text.
