A Study Of Wang Yun's Manuscript XuXueZhaJi Collected By The National Library Of China

Wang Yun,a great master of philology in the Qing Dynasty,has many works,such as Shuo Wen Shi Li(??????),Shuo Wen Ju Dou(??????),Shuo Wen Xi Zhuan Jiao Lu(????????),etc.The manuscript of Xu Xue Zha Ji(??????)collected by the National Library,entitled"the unfinished manuscript of Wang Yun in Anqiu County",is a new material that has never been published.The style and content of Xu Xue Zha Ji and Shuo Wen Shi Li are similar,which are actually the first draft of Shuo Wen Shi Li.This paper takes Xu Xue Zha Ji as the research object,and compares it with the related chapters of Shuo Wen Shi Li,and study from the following five parts:The first part reviews the current research situation of Wang Yun's thought and introduces the research value and methods of the topic selection.The academic circles mostly discuss Wang Yun's whole thought,single term concept,etc.Most of the studies are in the synchronic plane and lack of diachronic exploration.The emergence of Xu Xue Zha Ji provides a new material to explore the evolution of Wang Yun's thought from a diachronic perspective.Therefore,the methods of literature collation,deduction and induction,and historical comparison can be used to investigate the early features and subsequent changes of Wang Yun's Chinese character theory,and to refine the learning methods and attitudes that can be used for reference.The second part is about Wang Yun and Xu Xue Zha Ji.Wang Yun was at the peak of the study of Shuo Wen Jie Zi(??????)after the Qianjia(??)period.In the contention among Shandong scholars,he created Shuo Wen Shi Li,and put forward some scientific and cutting-edge terminologies such as"Fen Bie Wen(???)"and"Lei Zeng Zi(???)".A volume of Xu Xue Zha Ji,108 page,well preserved.It is speculated that it was written between 1834 and 1837.There are 21 articles in it,each of which is compiled according to the special topic.The existing titles are basically the same as those in the Shuo Wen Shi Li.The content of each chapter can be roughlydivided into four aspects:the style of Shuo Wen Jie Zi,the form of Chinese characters,the structure of Chinese characters,and the corrections..In the third part,the author compares 21 pieces of Xu Xue Zha Ji with the corresponding items of Shuo Wen Shi Li.According to the chapter item no.of Xu Xue Zha Ji,the paper analyzes the theme and content of each article in turn,as well as the income of each article in Shuo Wen Shi Li,including the number of articles included,the number of articles not received and the number of articles moved.Through comparison,it is found that most of the entries in Xu Xue Zha Ji are included in Shuo Wen Shi Li,some of which are entered in the original article,some of which are supplemented with other books and Oracle Bone Inscriptions and Bronze Inscriptions to support the views,some of which are included in the new chapter of Shuo Wen Shi Li due to the expansion,maturity or change of the views,and some of which are deleted due to the existing discussions or changes of the views of others.In a word,Shuo Wen Shi Li is generally brewed in Xu Xue Zha Ji.The fourth part analyzes the changes of Wang Yun's thought of Chinese characters.Although Xu Xue Zha Ji does not have three articles:Tong Bu Chong Wen(??????),Yi Bu Chong Wen(??????)and Fen Bie Wen and Lei Zeng Zi(????????),it is brewing in other chapters,and Wang Yun's concept of them is becoming mature at this time.Wang Yun is quite interested in the diachronic dynamic evolution of the form of Chinese characters,while Xu Xue Zha Ji only focuses on the development of individual Chinese characters before and after,and Shuo Wen Shi Li further discovers the assimilation of the components of Chinese characters.Xu Xue Zha Ji has produced the"Ti(?)"of Chinese characters,and follows the relationship between the meaning of the characters to split the Chinese characters,and Shuo Wen Shi Li more implements this concept."Gu Jin Zi(???)"are not used in the notes to refer to the differences in the use of the same words.Instead,the meaning of the words is used to describe the relationship between the words and the use of the words.Shuo Wen Shi Li touches on the functional changes of the Chinese characters with the differentiation of the parent characters and the functional division of the variant characters.The Xu Xue Zha Ji has a Bian Li(????)analysis of the arrangement order of each part of Shu Wen Jie Zi,but there is no Zheng Li(????).Infact,the specific items have revealed the regular case of arrangement,and only in Shuo Wen Shi Li can the regular case of Lie Wen Zheng Li(??????)be found independently.The fifth part summarizes the value of Xu Xue Zha Ji.In terms of version,the discovery of Xu Xue Zha Ji provides us with important version information.In the collation,according to Xu Xue Zha Ji,seven miswords in Shuo Wen Shi Li of the regulations were added.The value of academic history is as follows:Wang Yun's thought change before and after,Wang Yun's research idea of respecting the evolution rule of Chinese characters in"Gui Shi(??)",his research method of making good use of Oracle Bone Inscriptions and Bronze Inscriptions,his research attitude of seeking truth from facts and daring to question.
