Teachers,preach and guide career,answer questions and solve doubts.Throughout the ages,teachers are always different groups and occupation in the society.They have different functions and roles,as well as unique style and charm.The teachers are the guiders,practitioners and imparters of education.Whether the teacher is an effective disseminator of teaching knowledge and whether the teaching activities are carried out successfully and efficiently will inevitably become a key factor to determine the success or failure of the teaching.At present,throughout the world,in the past 30 years,starting from the discipline content knowledge(PCK)proposed by Shulman,a famous educator in the United States,it first attracted great attention in the foreign academic circles,and then gradually introduced into China in the process of continuous in-depth research,enrichment and improvement of basic knowledge by various education experts and scholars.However,there are few researches on PCK in China.The research is based on the existing theoretical research of PCK at home and abroad,combined with the characteristics of English subject education,based on the high school English classroom teaching,is the expansion and deepening of PCK theory and high school English classroom teaching.This paper studies the current situation of English classroom teaching in senior high school through classroom observation,questionnaire survey and interviews with English teachers and students.The results show that PCK in senior high school English classroom teaching is incomplete,which is not conducive to the development of senior high school English teaching and affects students' English learning.Therefore,the quality and effectiveness of senior high school English classroom teaching are not guaranteed to the greatest extent.Finally,some suggestions are put forward: teachers should strengthen the awareness of lifelong learning and cultivate teachers' habit of self-examination,so as to strengthen the promotion of PCK for senior high school English teachers in China,hoping to have a certain guiding and promoting in the development of senior high school English classroom teaching.
