An Explanation For The Creation Of Works In The Series Of Time Hierarchy

With the development of modern art and the influence of science and technology on human understanding.It’s increasingly common for contemporary artists to take time and the force of time as the content of expression and discussion in their works.The uniqueness and richness of the decorative language of ceramic materials can bring more space and possibility for the creation of works about ‘timeliness’.Time is objective,collective and historical.Time can also be emotional,meaning different things to each person.It’s personal and subjective.For artists,time is mostly a perceptual concept,influencing individual life and human history all the time.This thesis through four parts to discuss.The first part is introduction,which leads to the topic and research purpose and significance of topic.Combining with the development trend of ceramic decoration and the analysis of form language in the field that the author studies.Through my own professional background,I intend to use the shrinkage changes of clay in the firing process to express the timeliness of the language of ceramic materials in the works of ‘The Series of Time Hierarchy’.The second part is an overview and analysis of the contemporary ceramic works collected in the early stage and the concept of contemporary art.The third part is to introduce the inspiration source,creation scheme and creation process of ‘The Series of Time Hierarchy’.The fourth part starts from the author himself,discusses how the research theory is applied to my creation practice,and summarizes this creation.
