Study On Gao Fenghan's Flower And Bird Painting

Gao Fenghan lived in the three generations of cross-Kang,Yong and Qian dynasties.It was a period of political and economic prosperity in the mid-Qing Dynasty.As an important commercial town in Southeast China,Yangzhou prospered economically,which promoted the development of culture and art.Eight strange people in Yangzhou rose in the painting world.Gao Fenghan,as one of the outstanding representatives of the Eight Eccentrics in Yangzhou,is more committed to the creation of flower and bird paintings under the influence of Xu Wei,Shi Tao and other innovative painters.In addition,Gao Fenghan was influenced by family environment,official experience and artists with whom he communicated,which made him quite successful in flower and bird painting.He created many flower-and-bird paintings in his life,which enriched the art treasure-house of flower-and-bird paintings in China.His left-handed flower-and-bird paintings made remarkable achievements and occupied a certain position in the history of painting in Qing Dynasty and even in the history of Chinese painting.Gao Fenghan is a scholar painter and professional painter with high cultural accomplishment and artistic attainment.He has created many flower and bird works in his life,but he has not left a complete theory of painting creation.So there are few and scattered information about his theory of painting creation at present.In order to better understand and understand Gao Fenghan's flower and bird painting art,starting from the painting situation in the mid-Qing Dynasty and combining the development of Yangzhou's economy,culture and art market,the author expounds the situation of the painting circle in his era.Secondly,combined with the documentation,Gao Fenghan was analyzed from the perspective of family environment and official experience.Thirdly,through the analysis of Gao Fenghan's flower-and-bird paintings in different periods,this paper expounds the evolution of his flower-and-bird paintings,and with the support of poems,flower-and-bird paintings and other relevant materials,explores Gao Fenghan's creation concept and characteristics of flower-and-bird paintings.Finally,the status and influence of Gao Fenghan's flower-and-bird painting in the history of painting are analyzed rationally with reference to literature.
