With the progress and development of our country's economy,the material level of people's life is gradually improved,and the degree of attention to spiritual nutrition is also getting higher and higher.Books are the spiritual nourishment of human beings and one of the main ways to explore the material and spiritual world.Books are the ladder of human progress and the way for human to receive education.Nowadays,the topic of children's education has become the focus of attention in the education field.Focusing on children's education and development is focusing on people's education and development.Children in the rapidly growth of psychological and physiological period,their psychological and cognitive characteristics are quite different from those of adults.In view of this considering,the design of children's books need to base on children's psychological and behavioral characteristics,to ensure that children's books can really play the role of educational enlightenment and artistic edification.This paper analyzes the design principles of children's historical story books based on children's psychological cognitive characteristics and physiological characteristics.Children's way of understanding the world is a process of multi-sensory synergy.Visual,tactile,auditory,olfactory and other sensory senses all play their roles in different degrees.The design of children's historical story books needs to start from the perspective of multi-sensory to arouse children's interest in reading.Children are in the phase of perceptual cognition of things,therefore the design of history books needs to meet children's emotional characteristics to give children an interesting positive emotional reading experience.In addition,the innovation of children's book designing can start with the interactive design of children and books to explore the interactive relationship between books and children of different ages,and to enhance the attraction of books for children through this interaction.On the basis of design principles,the elements of designing children's story books,that is to use graphic layout to adapt to children's personality and reading characteristics;choose positive and emotional color to meet children's aesthetic demands of color;adopt a variety of font design and size to focus on children's visual health;pay attention to the emotional needs of children and avoid rigid by cutting the content of the main body,the cover and interesting section,etc.The design of children's historical story books can enhance children's reading interest,enrich children's reading experience,and make the carrier of historical stories more interesting.In this study,the practical design works are combined with the viewpoints in the paper to explore the specific way of children's historical story book design.
