Research On The Documentary Creation Of Blue Dyeing Folk Handicraft "Yao Shan Blue"

The growth and inheritance of the Chinese civilization circulated up to now relay on the culture of the Chinese nation.Moreover,traditional culture is an important asset for the next generation.In a sense,with the globalization of technology and culture,traditional culture becomes an important help to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.Nowadays,the intangible cultural heritage has been abandoned by the fast-pace lives.The ecology of traditional costume dyeing process suffered a fatal blow,and those traditional dyeing techniques are difficult to inherit.How to effectively inherit the intangible cultural heritage is an issue that cannot be ignored.Therefore,based on the documentary “Yaoshan Blue”,the creation environment and related concepts of the nowadays intangible cultural heritage documentary has been studied and thought,moreover explained the creation of the work “Yaoshan Blue”.Mulan the inheritor of Huayao blue-dyeing process is the main object of “Yaoshan Blue”.The blue-dyeing process shot in document style from picking dyeing raw materials to product of blue-dyeing fabrics lets the intangible cultural heritage be well kept.Reflection on the creation process of intangible cultural heritage documentaries has been done through recording the process of Huayaoblue dyeing.Taking “Yaoshan Blue” as an example,the first chapter of this thesis mainly is the historical background and development of plant blue dye in China,as well as the significance and research methods of shooting blue dye documentary.The second chapter of this thesis briefs the intangible cultural heritage and its documentary creation process.The third chapter of this thesis is the presentation of author’s creative ideas and process.The last chapter is an overview of the creative situation during filming and reflection on creative issues.
