| Objective: This study uses music to induce individuals’ happy and sad emotional states.,the effects of music-induced emotions are verified by collecting self-emotion reports and physiological indicators,and then to investigate the effects of different emotional states induced by music on risk preferences in individual decision tasks.Personality variables are also taken into account to explore the influence of music on emotional and risk decision-making of individuals with high and low neurotic personality.Methods: In this study,a piece of music with happy emotions and a piece of sad emotions was selected as experimental materials in the pre-experiment.The subjects were screened by using the Eysenck personality questionnaire to select individuals with high neurotic personality and low neurotic personality.In each group,the subjects are all intermediate in the introversion and extroversion dimensions.Each participant was required to listen to the music of happy and sad emotions and record physiological indicators.At the end of each music,the participants evaluated the music in three dimensions of happiness,arousal and control according to the SAM self-emotion rating scale.After that,each participant performed two framework types of risk decision-making tasks under the conditions of happy music,sad music,and no music,and examined the differences in the risk preferences of the three emotional states.Results: 1.In the results of self-emotion assessment,the levels of happiness and arousal of happy music are significantly higher than those of sad music,and there is no significant difference in the degree of control;there is a significant difference in the degree of control,and the score of the high neurotic group is significantly lower than that of the low neurotic group;2.In the physiological index,the subjects’ heart rate under the two music conditions are significantly different;in the breathing frequency,there is also a significant difference between the two music;and in the skin electricity index,there are no differences between the two music.There were no significant differences in the three physiological parameters of heart rate,respiratory rate,and skin electricity between the two groups of subjects in the high neuroticism group and the low neuroticism group under the two music conditions.3.The results of statistical analysis found that the main effect of risk preference of subjects under different music types is significant,and the ex post comparison showed that the risk preference of happy music was significantly higher than that of sad music;the main effect of risk preference of subjects in different decision frameworks is significantly,the risk preference under the loss framework is significantly higher than that under the gain framework;the main effect is not significant in the neurotic personality type;there is no interaction between the music type and the neurotic type.Conclusion: 1.Music can effectively induce different emotional states of individuals.The level of arousal of music with happy mood is higher,and the level of arousal of music with sad mood is lower.Under the condition of sad music,the feeling of domination is higher in individuals with high neuroticism than in individuals with low neuroticism.2.In physiological indicators,the individual’s heart rate and breathing frequency under the music condition of happy mood are significantly higher than that of the music condition of sadness,but there is no significant difference in the skin electric index.Individuals with high and low neurotic personality did not differ significantly in three physiological indicators.3.Music of different emotion types has a significant effect on risk preference in individual decision-making tasks.In the happy emotional state induced by music,individuals prefer risk seeking in decision-making tasks,while in the sad emotional state induced by music,individuals tend to avoid risk.Compared with the income framework,individuals are more inclined to seek risk under the loss framework,which has obvious framework effects.There was no significant difference in the effects of high and low neurotic personality on risk preference. |
