This paper takes the compound words of modifier-core structure "X+ color morpheme" in modern Chinese as the research object,and makes cognitive analysis on this kind of compound words by using the theory of generative lexicon,the theory of metaphor metonymy and the theory of conceptual integration,focusing on analyzing the dynamic generating process and characteristics of internal semantics.This paper investigates this kind of compound words from the following three aspects: Firstly,it investigates the internal semantic situation of the compound words with modifier-core structure "X+ color morpheme",including semantic type,semantic structure and semantic relationship,while the internal semantic situation of the compound words with modifier-core structure "X+ color morpheme" is rather complicated.Secondly,the metaphorical metonymy of modifier-core structure "X+ color morpheme" compound was investigated,we find that the structural compound involving metaphor was significantly more than that involving metonymy and implicit metonymy.Thirdly,the semantic generation process and semantic cognitive mechanism of modifier-core structure "X+ color morpheme" compound word are analyzed.Based on the theory of physical structure and the theory of conceptual integration,this paper expounds the process of the integration of general concept,metaphorical concept,metonymy concept and implicit metonymy concept of modifier-core structural "X+ color morpheme" compound word,and combines highlight mechanism to explain the reason why this structural compound from the same structure but has different meaning.
