A Study Of Chinese Acceptance History In On Boundless Realism

Out of dissatisfaction with the socialist realism of the Soviet Union,Roger Garaudy,a French literary theorist,wrote on Boundless Realism to explain his view of realism.Through his research on Picasso,Saint-John Perse and Kafka,Roger Garaudy pointed out that realism should expand its boundaries to include the outstanding works of excellent modernist writers.On Boundless Realism puts forward a point of view worthy of discussion for the development of realism in the new modern environment.Therefore,it has aroused great repercussions and heated discussions once published,and has been constantly concerned and studied in China.As a new voice for the contemporary development of realism,the acceptance of on Boundless Realism in China has always been closely related to the domestic realism.The development of realism in different periods in China greatly influenced the formation of Chinese acceptance history of on Boundless Realism.This paper divides the acceptance history of "on boundless realism" into three acceptance periods,sorts out the acceptance process of each period,summarizes the acceptance characteristics of each period and analyzes the causes of acceptance,and discusses the enlightenment brought by the acceptance history of "on boundless realism" from the perspective of the development of domestic realism.The first period is before the new period: early acceptance under special literary circumstances.In the 1960 s,extreme acceptance phenomenon appeared in the reception of on Boundless Realism.Influenced by the serious dogmatism in the domestic literary and art circles at that time,the recipient severely criticized on Boundless Realism from the perspective of class theory.The second period is the beginning of the new period to the end of the 20 th century: the foundational period of acceptance.During this period,on Boundless Realism began to be openly accepted in China,and the acceptance framework was basically formed.During this period,the development of realism in China reflected on the errors in the exploration of realism before the new period on the one hand,and the new evolution of realism under the impact of modernism on the other hand.All these have promoted on Boundless Realism to form a good state of acceptance.The third period is the turn of the century to the present: new changes accepted.Since the beginning of the new century,with the new development of realism and the gradually prominent limitations of on Boundless Realism,the acceptance situation has changed from diversification to generalization.The history of acceptance finally takes on the unique feature of the weakening of the influence of texts and the persistence of the influence of ideas.
