The original text of this translation report is taken from the second chapter and part of the third chapter of Leadership and Small Business:The Power of Stories by Karise Hutchinson.Hutchinson examines the important role of storytelling in leadership in the context of small business development.Under the background of China's accelerating the development of real economy and promoting integrated development of large,medium and small enterprises,this book serves as a valuable and important reference for small business in China in optimizing their strategic leadership.The translation report is mainly made up of four parts.The first part is a brief introduction to the translation task,which introduces the source of this translation materials,the author and her works as well as the significance of selected topics;the second part is an overall description of the translation process,mainly including preparations for translation,difficulties in the process of translation,and the post-translation modification;the third part is the detailed analysis of the translation cases in terms of lexical,syntax,and discourse;the fourth part is the summary of the experiences and lessons of this translation practice.In the process of writing this translation report,the writer has accumulated translation experience,further improved the translation ability,and learned how to solve the difficulties encountered in the process of translation.At the same time,the writer has had a further understanding of the important role of leadership building in the development of small business.The writer hopes that this translation report can provide some references for scholars in the field of small business.
