A Comparative Study Of Core Verbs In Naxi And Chinese

Mr.Lu shuxiang said in his opening speech of seminar on sentence patterns and verbs: why are verbs important? Because in a sense,the verb is the center of the sentence,the center of gravity,all the other elements are linked to it,are absorbed by it.The main part and the core words are the most important and stable words in a language.Therefore,this paper makes a comparative study of the verbs in naxi and Chinese to further understand the similarities and differences between them.In this paper,19 words corresponding to the core verbs of Chinese script are selected from the Swadish list.It mainly includes:Drink,Eat,Bite,Say,Look,Listen,Know,Sleep,Lie,Die,Kill,Swim,Fly,Walk,Come,Stand,Give,Burn.This paper starts with the comparison between Chinese and naxi core verbs,and makes a comparison between Chinese and naxi core verbs in terms of the lexical meaning of phonetic words and the extension of their meanings.The research materials on naxi language in this paper are mainly from the existing literature and oral materials in wushuwan and other places of naxi lijiang,dongba,Russia,lugu lake,and other places,and refer to several published dictionaries on naxi language and dongba language.It is found that the dialects of naxi vary greatly in different regions,especially in the pronunciation of naxi settlements.Compared with Chinese,naxi verbs are relatively simple in meaning,with more use of original meaning and less extended meaning in pragmatics.Through comparison,it is found that although the two languages are quite different in the process of word meaning development,they also have similarities.
