Discussion On The Building Character Relationships In Script Creation

Character is the center of the whole script.Building a reasonable relationship is an important part in story writing.There are two kinds of character relationships in script writing:Normal form character relationship and Abnormal form character relationship.It constantly changing under the influence of external factors and psychological factors of the characters themselves.The changing relationship can promote the development of the plot,and produce dramatic effect.Based on the analysis of the author’s play Belated Good Times,I will try to discuss how to build relationship between characters in script creation.The passage mainly elaborate three ways to construct relationship between characters:emotional atmosphere;different lines and styles;situational appellation.Emotional atmosphere can be created by the look and action of the characters.The characters’ lines can be analyzed from two aspects:intimacy and hostility.Only establishing a distinct relationship between characters in story creation can we better shape the characters and tell the story more vividly.
