Interactive teaching model originated from the United States in 1970 s.It has been highly valued and studied by the academic circles and widely applied in English teaching practice since it was introduced into China.Relevant research and practice show that this teaching model can effectively solve some drawbacks of traditional English teaching in high school.Student-centered and teacher-led interactive teaching can truly achieve effective interaction between teachers and students,between students and students,between students and teaching materials.It conforms to the basic principles of language teaching,so it may improve students' subjectivity and English ability.Interactive teaching model has produced abundant research literature in the field of high school English teaching.However,the research on content-based interactive teaching model in the field is relatively insufficient.The content here mainly refers to the teaching content.Based on constructivism,interaction hypothesis and humanistic theory,this study explores and practices the content-based interactive teaching model in high school English teaching.It aims at investigating the current situation of interactive teaching model in high school English teaching and identifying the influence of teaching content on interactive teaching model.The study is mainly carried out in the form of questionnaire,interview and classroom observation among the first grade teachers and students of a high school.The results show that the main problem of interactive teaching model in high school English teaching is that teachers fail to select appropriate interactive mode according to the specific teaching content,so the role of interactive teaching can not reach the desired state.In response to this problem,this study puts forward the influence of teaching content on interactive teaching model.This study holds that high school English teachers should adopt this teaching model more actively and efficiently according to different teaching content on the basis of full understanding ofinteractive teaching,so as to better improve students' English ability and proficiency.
