Ye Junjian started his literary writing since the 1930 s and his translation started almost at the same time.He translated Tolstoy's Happy Family;A Child's Feast written by Frach and the most important one was Anderson's Fairy Tales. He came up with the idea of “high-quality” work and from his life experience,we can learn that his translation activities were all following some orders.Since the 21 century, with the rapid development of translation studies, more and more people has started their studies on translators. However, many of them focused on several well-known translators. As for the researches on Ye Junjian, some people wrote several articles about him but almost all of them regarded Ye as a writer or a translator alone.Little attention was paid to his double identity and the studies on the influence of his translation to literary writing were rare. This thesis is based on the theory of intertextuality and guided by the literature research method, the comparative method and the case study method. The theory of intertextuality regards “influence” as its core element and starts with formal analysis. Then it spreads its eyesight to the more broad area of cultural background.Every context, whether it is political, historical or social, becomes intertextual element. This thesis mainly analyzes how the intertextual elements like living environment and historical background influenced Ye's literary writing.Meanwhile,on the basis of studying his translation, analyzes the influence of his translation to his literary writing and illustrates from three aspects: the influence on the writing language, content and concepts. It turns out that the influence on the writing language is mainly embodied in the using of postpositive attributive, the europeanization of characters' names and story background, and the form of language. The influence on the writing content is mainly embodied in his writing of children's literature and the influence on the writing concepts is mainly embodies in his concept of readers,high-quality works and the concept of poetic flavor. The significance of this thesis is that it enriches the studies on Ye Junjian.
