Learning burnout refers to the frustration, boredom and avoidance behavior of students when they lack motivation to learn.Self-esteem refers to an individual's negative and positive attitude towards oneself, that is,the individual's feelings about self-acceptance and self-worth.The study shows that self-esteem has a negative predictive effect on individual learning burnout. This study explores the relationship between college students' self-esteem and learning burnout and the interventions that affect college students' learning burnout. The study is divided into two parts. One is to investigate the self-esteem and learning burnout of 1243 college students from five universities in Ganzhou by using the Chinese version of Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale revised by Yu Xin in 1993 and the Adolescent Learning Burnout Scale by Wu Yan and Dai Xiaoyang.Secondly, the group counseling was used to intervene 30 subjects who had higher scores in the learning burnout test, and compared with the other 30 subjects. The results of the study are as following :(1)The self-esteem of college students is significantly different in different places, the self-esteem level of college students from urban areas is significantly higher than that of rural students, there are also evident differences in whether students are cadres, and the self-esteem level of student cadres is spectacular higher than that of non-student cadres.(2)College students learning burnout is significant vary with different places of origin. The level of learning burnout of college students from rural areas is apparently higher than that of college students from urban areas, there are significant differences in the nature of majors, and arts students are more prone to learning burnout than science students as well as also existing a great differences in whether students are cadres,non-student cadres are more likely to have learning burnout than student cadres.(3)College students have different degrees of learning burnout, meanwhile, there is a significant negative correlation between self-esteem and learning burnout,self-esteem has a significant negative predictive effect on learning burnout.Moreover,self-esteem is significant negative connection with the fractal dimension of the threelearning burnout, such as burnout, such as physical and mental exhaustion, academic alienation and low sense of achievement.Self-esteem also has a prominent negative predictive effect on this three learning burnout.(4)Group counseling intervention can effectively reduce the level of college students' learning burnout.
