Many foreign learners are interested in Chinese idioms,but because of their unique characteristics,they often face greater difficulties in learning them.Textbooks are the main way for foreign students to learn idioms.Studying the selection of idioms in textbooks is not only conducive to the construction of the textbooks themselves,but also conducive to the rational planning of the textbooks used by teachers and students in the teaching process,so as to make the textbooks serve teachers and students better.This topic takes idioms in the comprehensive textbook "Developing Chinese" as the research object.From the angle of collecting and arranging idioms,the author comprehensively analyses and evaluates the idioms in the textbook,so as to further improve the selection of idioms in the textbook and promote the progress of idiom teaching.In this paper,the number and distribution of idioms in textbooks will be investigated in detail,and the idioms in textbooks will be compared with those in the widely recognized syllabuses of various grades.Then,the presentation of idioms in the relevant corpus will be investigated.Based on the above research results,the advantages and disadvantages of the textbooks in the collection of Idioms will be analyzed.In addition to investigating the collection of idioms in textbooks,the arrangement of idioms is also the focus of this study.The author will study the idioms in textbooks from the repetition,interpretation and practice,and analyze the gains and losses in the arrangement of idioms in textbooks.Foreign learners and Chinese teachers are the users of this set of textbooks.The author designed two sets of questionnaires for them,in order to make a more practical discussion on the selection and teaching of idioms in the textbooks.The ultimate purpose of the study of the textbook is also to effectively use the textbook for classroom teaching.On the basis of the analysis of the previous article,the author puts forward specific suggestions for the selection of idioms in the textbook,and also provides corresponding teaching strategies for comprehensive teachers to better teach idioms in the textbook.I hope this study can provide useful reference for the improvement of textbooks and teachers and students who use this set of textbooks.
