The Taoist psychology regimen thought in the Tang Dynasty was born under the background of the Taoist overall regimen theory turn from 'outside seeking' to 'internal seeking'.The Taoist psychology regimen in the Tang Dynasty is different from the Inner Alchemy as a religious practice. It purely improves people's mental health to achieve the goals of regimen. The Taoist psychology regimen thought in the Tang Dynasty is also different from the spiritual cultivation theory in the ordinary sense.Although it starts from improving people's mental health, its ultimate goal is still regimen, not just focusing on the spiritual field. This article believes that in order to maintain mental health,we must first establish a correct belief. The Taoist psychology regimen thought in the Tang Dynasty based on the Taoist thought of 'Emphasis on life','Physical and mental unity' and 'Peace and Inaction'.It was influenced by the fast-developing Buddhism Zen thoughts, the meta-historical thoughts, and the Taoist psychology theory.Under such influence, the concept of Taoist regimen was changed from the 'outside seeking' method of relying on foreign medicines to the 'internal seeking' method of relying on improving mental health. It believes that regimen should start from maintaining mental health.Keeping the inner peace and inaction of mind can help the body and mind to be harmonious.Through this method,it is helpful to achieve the purpose of improving the quality of life. This paper analyzes and interprets the theoretical system of Taoist psychology regimen thought in the Tang Dynasty from the three levels of 'Internal cultivation','Social way' and finally 'Enlightenment'.At the same time, combining the reality of modern life and the psychological condition with the characteristics of the times, this paper elaborates on the ideological theory of 'Internal cultivation' from the aspects of 'Endure humiliation to restrain anger','Temperance desire to restrain greed','Consider reducing to maintain peace of mind',and 'Perceive the inner to pursue enlightenment'.And combined with relevant materials to further analyze and discuss the lifestyle that it advocates to reduce social and charitable charity in real life.At the same time,it explains the positive significance of maintaining mental health by reducing social and participating in charity lifestyle. Finally,by comparing the realm of 'wisdom' with the realm of 'Tao',it is clarified that the realm of 'Tao'is different from the realm of 'Wisdom',but beyond it.Help people to truly understand the profound connotation of Taoist psychology regimen thought in the Tang Dynasty, and thus help people to cultivate a more grand pattern in the process of regimen,in order to harvest a broader world view and outlook on life.At the same time,it is emphasized once again that the ultimate connotation of regimen lies in the concern and conservation of the inner spiritual world.By eliminating the interference of the outside world, restoring a quiet and sensible process is an important way to maintain a harmonious body and mind.Furthermore,it sums up the ideological characteristics of the Taoist psychology regimen thought in the Tang Dynasty,'inward exploration','the principle of calmness' and 'maintaining physical health through the maintenance of mental health'.It emphasizes the importance of maintaining the health of the inner psychology. At the end of the article,it briefly discusses the important influences of the Taoist psychology regimen thought in the Tang Dynasty on the Inner Alchemy,Yang Ming's Inner Heart Theory, and contemporary Taoist regimen. The Taoist psychology regimen thought in the Tang Dynasty contains rich wisdom in understanding the essence of human life.It also helps to break the narrow concept of regimen for modern people who only pay attention to physical health and ignore internal mental health.
