As far as "writing" is concerned,it is an opportunity for the transformation of artistic creativity in our country.Talking about writing is essentially talking about the difference between eastern and western art.Chinese contemporary art is not extended from its own tradition and has been developing under the influence of western modern and contemporary art.In addition,it inevitably imitates the modern and contemporary art of western countries in concept and language,resulting in the lack of originality of some artists.In the current artistic context,we return to our own context through the construction of tradition.At the same time,the modern experiment of writing language has become a kind of cultural consciousness of contemporary artists,which makes it an artistic proposition worthy of attention and discussion.In this paper,the writing reflected in China's current oil painting is explored mainly from 4 parts.The first part is about the definition of writing,which is the main concept involved in this paper.Besides,the meaning of writing in calligraphy and painting is briefly explained,so as to distinguish writing from writing in calligraphy,that is,the difference between the pen-and-ink ability and writing.The second part combines the differences of cultural concepts between the East and the West to discuss the writing transformation mode in the modern painting of the East and the West,and to discuss the exploration of writing transformation by the artists of the East and the West in the 20 th century,mainly from the perspective of "line writing","shape writing" and "freehand writing".This writing transformation is more about the consideration of form and style rather than the search for commonness in structure.The third part mainly focuses on the case analysis of young and middle-aged artists who consciously pursue writing language,and concretely analyses their modern experiments on writing conversion.That is,how to examine and choose tradition from a modern perspective,and their attitude towards tradition.The fourth part ponders and summarizes the writings in oil painting,analyses the relationship between traditional cultural resources and modern standpoints,and queries the misappropriation of cultural symbols and the reference of simple forms.At the same time,this part discusses the relationship between the deconstruction and construction of traditional cultural resources.The transformation of writing cannot be carried on only from the traditional perspective.It should be examined and selected from the contemporary perspective.At the same time,cultural relativism and simple form reference should be avoided.We should seek for reference in the tradition after having a full understanding of our era and tradition,transform the artistic experience that still has vitality in the tradition to the contemporary era,and try to return to our own context to create works that are both creative and contemporary.
