| Theory of mind refers to the ability to recognize other people’s emotions,intentions and wishes.It is an important component of cognitive ability.Because of its wide coverage,it is important for all aspects of human ability,such as executive function and interpersonal skills.The impact of this has been a key concern in cognitive research since the theory of psychology turned to the human realm in 1987.As the mainstream army of traditional media,TV is one of the most important ways for the elderly to obtain information and leisure entertainment.TV viewing itself requires the participation of psychological theory,so watching TV is likely to have an impact on people’s theory of mind.However,the current research on the relationship between television and theory of mind mainly focuses on the field of children.There is almost no empirical research on the relationship between the two in the elderly.The research objects are limited.In addition to the wide range of subjects,the existing research on TV and theory of mind mostly focuses on the influence of the single dimension of watching TV on the theory of mind.In daily TV viewing,such as type,watching The interactions involving many related variables are not involved,the research dimension is single,and from the past research,the interaction variable plays an important role in the process of acquiring the theoretical knowledge of the mind,through the discussion of the part containing the theory of mind.Promote the individual’s understanding of the theory of mind theory,but this method involves less research in television and theory of mind,which makes the previous research not comprehensive and needs to be strengthened.Among the many variables related to the theory of mind,empathy as an ability to recognize the emotions and feelings of others is an important factor influencing whether people can fully invest in watching TV.Previous studies have also shown empathy and theory of mind.There is a significant positive correlation,so individuals with high empathy ability will have higher psychological theory ability than individuals with low empathy ability because of their deepening their commitment toTV.In other words,whether empathy ability is TV watching What are the adjustment factors between theory and theory of mind? Faced with these problems and the deficiencies in previous research,this study attempts to discuss the influence of the interaction of interactions on the theory of mind from the three aspects of questionnaires,interviews and evidences,and whether the empathy will regulate the interaction between TV viewing and the psychology of the elderly.Study 1 aims to explore which factors are related to the theory of mind when watching TV in the elderly,especially to confirm whether the interaction is the most predictive factor for the psychological theory of the elderly when watching TV.In the first study,the questionnaire was used to select the psychological theory story questionnaire,the interpersonal reaction indicator scale and the elderly TV viewing questionnaire to explore the variables that have the greatest influence on the psychological theory ability of the elderly.On the basis of Study 1,Study 2 explores the specific interactive content and interaction mode of the elderly when watching TV,and tries to analyze the effective interaction mode of the elderly when watching TV,in order to study the three interaction modes and the choice of content.Lay the foundation;on the basis of the first and second research,the research directly explores whether the interaction when watching TV will have an impact on the psychological theory of the elderly.On the one hand,it explores the effectiveness of this kind of intervention on the theory of mind,and on the other hand,further validates the results of Study 1 in an empirical way.The results show:1 The interaction and involvement of watching TV is significantly related to the theoretical ability of the mind,where interaction is the most significant predictor;2 Empathy plays a regulatory role in the relationship between interaction and psychological theory when watching TV.The specific manifestation is that for individuals with low empathy ability,the interaction when watching TV has a more significant impact on the theory of mind;For individuals,the interaction when watching TV has a relatively small impact on the theory of mind.3 When the elderly watch TV,the most interactive content is: telling the whole TV story,doing right and wrong judgment,discussing the TV story,which provides data support for the choice of interactive content in the empirical study of Research 3.4 The experimental results show that the interaction is the most effective in the low empathy group,and not significant in the high empathy group.At the same time,empathy plays a significant role in the relationship between interaction and theory of mind.Consistent with the results of Study 1. |
