Kazuo Ishiguro is a Japanese-born English writer and winner of the 2017 Nobel Prize in Literature.Prior to winning the Nobel Prize in Literature,his works have been widely published and acclaimed enthusiastic praise and won numerous awards.Never Let Me Go is a novel he published in 2005 on the subject of cloning.The author warns the world that it should control the endless desires that accompany the advancement of science and technology with nearly true fictional content.From the perspective of literary ethics criticism,this thesis explores the ethical issues brought about by clones as they enter human society.The whole thesis is divided into the following five parts: The introduction mainly introduces the author's personal experience and his works,and combs the research status of the novel Never Let Me Go at home and abroad,and clarifies the research value of the thesis.The first chapter mainly discusses the problem of clones being lack of ethical identity and analyzes the reasons why they become human taboos.The second chapter discusses the process and results of ethical enlightenment of humanized and marginalized clones from the perspective of group and individual.The third chapter focuses on the ethical teachings and warning values of the novel in real society.Clones and human beings in the novel are like the front and back sides of the mirror,and they correspond to each other.It analyzes the different images of human beings and clones separately,compares the problems of human beings and clones as well,sums up the commonality between them,and display a comprehensive picture of human appearance various problems of human society.The last part is the conclusion.On the basis of summarizing the full text,it emphasizes that human beings should balance the relationship between desire and ethics and safeguard the bottom line of ethical values of human respect for life.
