| The development of economy has facilitated the progress of the society,improving the living standard of the people day by day and soaring people’s expectation of a better life.Lily that embodies a perfect happy life of newlyweds enjoys a well-known status in wedding.Because of the low quality and frustrating performance of domestic lily bulbs,Holland is the major lily bulbs producer for the Chinese market.To satisfy the demand of the Chinese market for various lilies,importers leave no stone unturned to be the exclusive agents of varieties with good quality.The writer works as an interpreter in this business negotiation which is to gain the exclusive agency of Touch Me in the Chinese market.This consecutive interpretation of business negotiation consists of four parts,namely,reception,negotiation,banquet and recreation.The negotiation part was chosen to be analyzed in this thesis.As the guiding principle,the Cooperative Principle consolidates the interpreting theory base and provides new path for interpretation theory study and practice.The author explains the application of the profound theories,the Cooperative Principle during the interpreting process in simple terms.All the problems encountered by the author as well as the solutions are listed in this practice report so as to offer experience to business negotiation interpretating in the future.The report is divided into three parts.The first part introduces the background of the interpreting practice,the interpreting task and the preparations prior to the interpreting task.The second part is the case study under the guideline of the Cooperative Principle which includes the problems that arose during the interpreting task,the application of some interpreting skills as well as the solutions to the existing problems.The third part is the conclusion of the interpreting task summarizing the experience and lessons learnt from this interpreting practice. |
