This thesis takes Suian Fenkou dialect as the research object. On the grounds of investigating more than 3,700 words in The Characters List of Chinese Dialects and more than 1,200 words in The Handbook of Chinese Language Resources-Chinese Dialects, this thesis summarizes the initial system, final system, tone system, disyllabic tone sandhi and the phonological characteristics of Suian Fenkou dialect, sorts out the homonym vocabulary of the dialect, and on this basis, further discusses some important phonetic phenomena, such as the origin of the pre-nasal initials, the diminutives, and the literary and colloquial readings, etc. There are 23 initials in Suian Fenkou dialect, including zero initial;37 finals,including[m]and[?];7 tones. There is an obvious"generalization"phenomenon in the disyllabic tone sandhi, that is,when the tone types of the front characters are the same, the disyllabic tone sandhi modes are the same. The former characters change their origin tone only when their tones are Yinqu,Yinru, and Yangru.Tones Shang and Yangqu go unchanged as either the front character or the back character.About other important speech phenomena found in the survey, based on the analysis of the corpus,we believe:(1)The reason for the formation of the pre-nasal initials may be that the ancient nasal consonants are affected by the vowels.(2)The situation of the current reading of Zhi,Zhuang groups in Suian Fenkou Dialect are the same as those in other dialects of Hui Dialect:generally read as[ts ts~h s].Zhuang and Zhang groups remain separate in most part of the rhymes, but have a mixed trend in some rhymes.(3)The[v]initials in Jian group may be evolved from the zero initials followed by[u]or[y].(4)There has no complete literary reading system in Suian Fenkou Dialect, but still some words which have literary reading.(5)Diminutives mainly include three forms:"-in"suffixation,nasalization,nasalization+"-in"suffixation.But they only have few examples, belong to the vestige of disappearance.
