| This is a survey report on MI students’ A & B language enhancement behaviors at four universities in Xi’an.Questionnaire was used as the instrument in this research to collect first-hand data regarding Chinese-English,Chinese-French,Chinese-Russian and Chinese-Japanese MI students’ specific A language enhancement behaviors and B language enhancement behaviors.A number of 86 students participated in the survey.SPSS was used for data analysis.Based on data analysis,the report mainly presents three findings:(1)Generally speaking,the time MI students spend on B language enhancement behaviors overruns that on A language enhancement behaviors.(2)In a broad sense,MI students’ bilingual competence enhancement behaviors can be classified into four categories: listening,speaking,reading and writing.(3)Though there are few differences,the disparity of MI students’ A language enhancement behaviors and B language enhancement behaviors is subtle. |
