"Wolf Totem is an ecological novel with Wolf as the main line, describing the story between herdsmen, animals and plants on the grassland.Plant names are an important part of a nation's cultural vocabulary and reflect its ecological cons ciousnes s.The thesis consists of three parts:introduction, text(chapter 1,chapter 2,chapter 3)and conclusion.Introduction:it mainly explains the reason of the topic selection and the object of study, the purpose and significance of the research, the explanation of relevant terms, the general situation of the research, the source of resources and the research methods. The body consists of three chapters. In the first chapter, based on the Chinese version of "Wolf Totem",the plant names in the three Mongolian versions are classified and their characteristics are analyzed. The second chapter USES the comparative method to compare the differences in the use of plant names and ecological consciousness in the different versions of Wolf Totem",including plant name translation and sentence translation, and explores the commonness and characteristics of the three versions of ecological consciousness. The third chapter, with the method of literature review, explores the reasons for the inconsistency in the ecological consciousness of the translators from the cultural background of the three translated works. The research arguments in this paper can be summarized as follows:a)in Wolf Totem written by jiang rong, there are a total of 70 plant names with a frequency of 292,but only 40 plant names are translated in the translation of wang xiuying et al,with the most translated plant names slightly.Although 59 plant names appear respectively in the translations of haspelig et al.and DE paule debatel, the abbreviated plant names are different from each other.b)The translation of plant names in the three Mongolian translations has the following differences:using completely different words to translate; The attributive is the same, but the modifier is different; One version is slightly translated, while the translation in the other two versions is different; The translation in two versions is the same, and the translation in another version is different;Different ways of writing it.c)There are differences in plant knowledge between the Mongolian version and the Mongolian version, insufficient understanding of the ecological theme of the original text, translation of plant names into general terms and mixed translation of two plant names.d)The Mongolian translations all use the abbreviation of plant names to different degrees, and all have special plant names, but the ecological consciousness in the use of plant names in different versions of Wolf Totem is different.Among them, wang xiuying translated the original contents and plant names slightly the most. There are many literal translations of plant names by hasbiglig and others.DE bolede battelle's translation has the most Mongolian cultural characteristics, with the most frequent use of local plants to translate the original plant names, and the most fluent and prominent expression of the original ecological consciousness.e)The use of plant names and the difference of ecological consciousness in different versions of "Wolf Totem" are due to the different production modes and natural environments of the three Mongolian translators and the different cultural backgrounds. From cross-cultural communication theory interpretation "Wolf totem" name using different versions of the plant and its ecological consciousness is concluded that not only between national and ethnic culture conflict, and disseminator of growth environment, and have professional knowledge of different and different, even if the same Mongolian, growth, geographical environment and way of life and works of different professional knowledge and the same ecological consciousness will be translated into different.
