In recent years,China's international status and influence have been rising,and an increasing number of people have begun to learn Chinese.In the context of today's globalization,the concept of a community of Shared future for mankind ties countries closely together.Thailand and China have been close neighbors since ancient times.Against the background of xi jinping's new era,China is vigorously developing the One Belt And One Road construction,while Thailand happens to be one of the countries along China's maritime silk road.Therefore,it is of epoch-making significance to seize the opportunity of One Belt And One Road and promote the economic,cultural and political exchanges and cooperation between China and Thailand.With the increasing exchanges between China and Thailand,the rapid development of Chinese language craze in Thailand,the increasing number of Thai students studying in China,and the increasing number of Thai Chinese learners in Confucius institutes in Thailand,it has become increasingly important to choose Chinese names for Thai Chinese learners.Choosing Chinese names is a seemingly small but significant thing,which is not only beneficial to the study and life of Thai Chinese learners,but also beneficial to the teaching and management of Chinese students studying abroad.It can also promote the cultural exchanges between China and Thailand and promote the promotion of Chinese culture.This paper conducts a questionnaire survey on the situation of Thai students studying in chongqing university and Chinese learners of Confucius institute in budong,Thailand taking Chinese names,summarizes the characteristics of their Chinese names and their attitudes towards Chinese names,and analyzes the cultural reasons behind their characteristics and attitudes.Also take the Chinese name for Chinese learners of Chinese language teacher interviews,by comparing the teachers and students to choose a Chinese name of the preference,the different attitude,strive to reveal from two aspects of students and the teacher named hidden behind the deep named culture,the two countries,and Thailand,so as to provide some useful for Thai Chinese learners name naming strategy.This paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,which mainly introduces the reason for the topic selection of this paper,sorts out the studies on Chinese and Thai names and the Chinese names adopted by foreigners,introduces thevalue,significance and innovation points of this paper,and finally introduces the research methods.This chapter not only introduces the background but also lays the theoretical foundation of the thesis.The second chapter is the basic situation of the investigation,which explains the object,method and the basic situation of the questionnaire.Chapter three analyzes,summarizes and compares the characteristics of Chinese names of 84 Thai Chinese learners and their attitudes towards Chinese names with the preferences and attitudes of 63 Chinese teachers towards names,and analyzes the characteristics of Chinese names of Thai Chinese learners according to the classification of last names,first names and name structures.The fourth chapter is the cultural dimension analysis of the reasons for the Chinese name selection of Thai Chinese learners,from the perspective of cultural selection,cultural connotation,and the development of cultural communication to carry out the in-depth analysis of the cultural dimension.Chapter five analyzes the problems in Chinese name naming of Thai Chinese learners from the perspectives of form,sound and meaning of Chinese names and proposes corresponding naming strategies.
