Water Image Research In New Poetry(1917-1927)

China is a poetic country.With the literary revolution,modern new poetry has entered the historical stage and become the forerunner of Chinese new literature.As a common image of ancient and modern Chinese and foreign literati,the image of water is naturally favored by the creators of early new poetry.The poets use the water image to express their inner calling and shouting,so that the new poetry can display more rich connotations and exude a more unique charm.This thesis takes the new poems from1917 to 1927 as the research object,and combines some poets' poems to make a relatively complete combing of the early new poems with water imagery.In the introduction part of this thesis,on the basis of literature review,elaboration of the meaning of the topic,and definition of several core concepts,the paper makes a rough statistics on the poems of important poets related to the thesis,and briefly summarizes the research methods used.Description.The flood carries the fear from the depths of the human heart,and the water control activity just takes people away from the fear of water;people in the sacrificial activities use water as the object of worship to reflect the primal human desire to survive and expect happiness.The water image in the new poem of the first decade of modern literature is classified into three categories: natural form,emotional form and temperament form according to the connotation of water and its derivative images.According to the circulation of water,the river waves,the rain,the snow and the clouds are called the natural form of water;the blood and tears are classified into the emotional form of water because of the emotional factors brought by their own semantics;because the femininity is similar to the inclusive flexibility of water,The wildness of the beast is similar to the destructiveness of water,so the two are classified as the temperament of water.The water image appears frequently in the new poetry.One is because of the influence of Chinese traditional culture and Western literature on the poet.The second is because of the poet's own personality temperament,regional culture and the experience of studying,and the third is because the poet is against the self in the context of the May Fourth Movement.Pursuit,the desire for love.
