Study On Visual Expression Language Of Two-dimensional Animation In Pop-style

With the development of information technology,various high-tech movies,TV dramas,and short videos came into being,which firmly attracted people’s attention.As a visual art different from other forms,animation creates a unique visual experience for the audience with its unique visual form.Three-dimensional animation is becoming more and more real,while two-dimensional animation has to seek for innovation.Two-dimensional animation is a special two-dimensional dynamic art form based on graphic drawing and featuring painting art.Nowadays,the audiences are no longer satisfied with the original style of animation expression.Therefore,the key to the development of two-dimensional animation innovation is now lying on how to take advantage of the modern painting form to achieve ingenious organization and arrangement with the combination of the film visual language.While taking into consideration the change of visual habits of the audiences and the characteristics of the information age,on the basis of a detailed review of the genealogy of the development of pop art and on the basis points of animated visual language,pop art form and pop-style artistic expression techniques including bright and glamorous color tendencies,copying,repeating,and collage,this study explores the visual language of Pop style two-dimensional animation with elements including modelling,color,light and shadow,composition,material texture,scene,movement,angle,montage,etc,systematically analyzes the composition,expression and rules of Pop style two-dimensional animation visual elements and finally build up a theoretical framework of Pop style two-dimensional animation visual language.Diversified research methods such as literature review method,case analysis method,cross-subject research method and practical research method are involved in this study.Combined with practical creation and theoretical framework,this study tries to produce a short film "cellphone" as my graduation design,with visual form as the highlight of innovation,attracting the attention of the audience.Finally,according to the example creation of this research,this study extends a in-depth analysis on two-dimensional animation in order to adapt to the contemporary development trend,to play a certain reference to the visual language exploration of Pop-style two-dimensional animation,and to promote a better,higher and newer developments of two-dimensional animation.
