The Narratology Research On The Adaptation Of Chinese Internet Novel

In 2000,JHT First Contact became the first film adapted from Internet novel,and it opened the history of adaptation from Internet novel to film and TV drama.From then,Internet novel have been married with film and TV drama indeed.Accompanied with the Internet environment changes,and the Internet novel and IP concept be more popular among users,the adaptations have developed continuously,and have injected fresh blood into the TV industry.Experts called this phenomenon "the second wave of adaptation"."Treading On Thin Ice","Empresses in the Palace","The Journey of Flower",and "So Young" as the representative of Internet novel adapted to the film and TV dramas,have promoted Internet novel adaptation to be popular among cultural industry and improved the degree of market recognition for adaptation works.From the birth of Chinese TV drama,many TV series are adapted from literature works;therefore adaptation is not a new thing.But in terms of the Internet novel adaptation,due to the unique creation environment and the unique characteristics of the Internet novel,it brings new opportunities and challenges to adaptation and becomes the new soil for adaptation.Also,be limited by the development time,adaptation is still in the development stage,and exists much work to be immature and systematic.But according to the development status and trend in the TV drama market,we can clearly see the Internet novel' s commercial value and development prospect.So how to transform the Internet novel on different narrative platforms,to present the best narrative work to audience is one of the issues that need to be thought now.Therefore this paper will combine with the market development trend and the research status quo of adaptation,and focus on the narrative perspective of the adaptation."Nirvana in Fire" as the case,and narratology as the research theory,using qualitative research methods,such as case analysis,comparative study,text analysis and in-depth interviews,and combining with the theoretical results and research area of classical narratology and postclassical narratology,then building the research framework to analyze the narrative framework of current TV drama adaptation from Internet novel.Try to understand the new narrative feature of adaptation from a macro level,and provide effective narrative strategies for the future adaptation.Based on the comprehensive quality research,this study finds some new narrative feature about the narration of the adaptation.Such as narrative structure diversification,narrative plot innovation,narrative figure more three-dimensional,narrative details intensify and so on.Also,the study has thought about the narrative strategy for the future adaptation behavior,and puts forward some effective narrative strategies:strengthen the characteristics of the network literature to carry on the narrative transformation,excavate the content mining of network literature deeply,pay more attention to the audience participation and the IP development in Internet environment and so on.
