A Study On The "Adultification" Problem Of Wilde's Fairy Tales

The problem of "adultification" is a unique starting point for the study of Wilde's fairy tale.By using the method of text analysis,based on Wilde's two collections of fairy tales,combined with the research about children,referring to the relevent theories of children's literature,this paper summarizes the concrete manifestations of "adultification" and probes into the significance of the creation mode of Wilde's fairy tale "adultification" to the diversified development of current fairy tale creation.The text is divided into four chapters.The first chapter summarizes and analyzes the "adultification" in Wilde's fairy tales and the reasons for it.First of all,based on the academic view,it is not suitable for children to read,this paper puts forward the problem of "adultification" of Wilde's fairy tales.Secondly,it analyzes the reasons for the "adultification" from the background of the author's life and his life experience.The second chapter analyzes the content of Wilde's fairy tale "adultification".First of all,from the perspective of characterization,this paper discusses the subversion of Wilde's fairy tales on the simplification of characterization,including the complexity of the main characters and the portrayal of children on behalf of adults.Secondly,it summarizes and analyzes the expression of "adultification" from the content of fairy tale,including the realistic criticism beyond children's thinking,the pursuit of death beyond children's emotion,and the religious thinking beyond children's cognition.The third chapter analyzes the language expression of Wilde's fairy tale "adultification",including the use of non-children's vocabulary,abstract vehicle selection,unconventional language expression.Among them,the unconventional language expression is analyzed and discussed from two aspects: language satire and paradox.The fourth chapter puts the problem of "adultification" of Wilde's fairy tales in an open view,and examines the problem of "adultification" in the creation about fairy tale.First of all,it is clear that it is biased to think that Wilde's fairy tales are not suitable for children to read.from two aspects of meeting children's reading needs and unique cultural value,this paper analyzes the significance of Wilde's fairy tales "adultification".Secondly,it puts forward the integration of adult content in the way of "children",and finally makes it clear that fairy tale creation needs to avoid excessive "adultification".
