Taoism,as a native religion in China,its formation and development contains the changes of Chinese traditional thought and culture.From a certain point of view,the development history of Taoism reflects the development history of Chinese civilization.Taoism is a polytheistic religion,based on ancient myths and stories of our country,absorbed the thoughts of Laozi and Zhuangzi in the Spring and Autumn Period and Warring States Period,and then further merged with Buddhism and Confucianism,so in the Eastern Jin Dynasty and the Southern and Northern Dynasties,there were many different Taoist sects,and the immortals believed in were also miscellaneous and varied.Tao Hongjing,a Taoist scholar in the Southern Dynasty,summed up the rich and complicated Taoist beliefs in immortals.On the basis of absorbing and integrating the theories of predecessors,he compiled the map of real spirit position.The genealogy of the immortals contains about 700 immortals and ranks them according to seven grades.It is the first systematization and orderliness of the Taoist genealogy of immortals.Tao Hongjing's immortal genealogy is of great significance,so it is necessary to conduct in-depth research on it.This article is divided into the following parts:The first part is the introduction.This paper introduces the background and significance of the study,and makes relevant literature review.The second part discusses the Taoist immortal thought,immortal belief and sect division before the appearance of the "spiritual position map".Including the thought of immortals of Zhuang Tzu and Mo Tzu in the Spring and Autumn Period and Warring States Period,and the thought of immortals in the Qin and Han Dynasties,which are the source of Tao Hongjing's genealogy of immortals.The third part introduces the origin of Taoism,some classical works of early Taoism,various groups of early Taoism and their respective genealogy of immortals,which laid the foundation for compiling Tao Hongjing's genealogy of immortals.The fourth part elaborates the background of Tao Hongjing's compilation of " True spiritual map ",the specific content of the immortal genealogy,The influences of Confucianism and Taoism on true spiritual map,and inspects the origin of some Taoist immortals.The fifth part discusses the characteristics and important influences of Tao Hongjing's pedigree.The map embodies the polytheistic belief of the coexistence of innate saints and acquired immortals.It establishes the supreme position of "Three Qings Respecting God" in Taoism and embodies the characteristics of the integration of Buddhism,Buddhism and Taoism in the Northern and Southern Dynasties.
