On The Materiality And Spirituality Of Comprehensive Materials

As a visual art in modern and contemporary times,comprehensive material painting is created by artists through the use of a variety of media materials and different techniques and languages.It breaks through the traditional forms of painting and meets the aesthetic needs of the development of modern society.For a long time in the past,materials were only used as pure techniques to serve works of art.Later,with artists’ bold exploration and attempt on materials,they applied them to artistic creation.The charm of materials is becoming increasingly apparent,not only limited to its material properties,but also its unique aesthetic and spiritual charm.The development of comprehensive material painting is the necessity and requirement of the development of the times and a response to modern technological innovation.This paper briefly introduces the basic concept of comprehensive materials and its origin and development,and analyzes the material properties and spiritual bearing of materials.In addition,two representative artists and their works are combined to make a case analysis so as to illustrate the mutual changing relationship between physical and spiritual properties of comprehensive material painting.Finally,through his own creation experiments,he analyzed the application of materials and emotional expression,as well as some experiences and insights gained in the creation process.
