Finding yourself,this paper takes my oil painting creation as an example to mainly discusses the emotional expression of female-themed oil painting creation.When faced with the hardships of life,we must keep groping forward,so as to finally find what we really want.With the increase of experience,people's self-cognition will be stronger.As a woman,I am especially obsessed with creating oil paintings with female themes,because it can better express my spiritual pursuit at present.In the part of theoretical analysis,by studying the development characteristics of female paintings,it is pointed out that most female artists have the characteristics of expressing themselves.Here,I mainly choose four famous female artists,namely Frida Kahlo from Mexico,Marlene Dumas from South Africa,Jenny Savile from Britain and Yu Hong from China.In the case study of these female artists,I found that most female artists like to express self-portraits and female themes,and oil painting tends to express their own emotions.Their unique female gender characteristics influence their choice of painting themes and the language of oil painting.Generally speaking,female artists are good at recognizing themselves from life and expressing real emotions through painting.Their works have strong expressiveness in painting language.On the whole,this paper focuses on the creation process of my female-themed oil paintings--self-portrait series and character scene series,discusses how I know myself in the process of creation,find out the theme and painting language suitable for me,and summarize some personal experience in oil painting creation.
