The Dialogue Between Science And Literature:analysis Of Lu Xun's Early Science Outlook

Lu Xun,as the main town of Chinese modern literature,has been talked so much about his “literature” that we often neglect or even shield the “origin”-science educator.Back to late Qing,the practical science around the theme of national salvation was very popular.At that time,young Lu Xun actively devoted himself to translation and introduction of scientific fiction and scientific articles under the double influence of thoughts of “saving the country through science” and “revolution in fiction circle”.Meanwhile,the ingrained interest in literature and art as a child and perpetual humanity feelings in the process of science education were partly revealed when he decided to wholly engaging in literature.And then he fully realized the consciousness of literature in the experience of entirely new Western resources.Marked by the history of science published in 1907,Lu Xun absorbed the resources of scientific enlightenment on the one hand,and on the other hand,he began to reflect on scientific rationality and enlightenment myth.Through combing the history of science and revealing the spirit of science,Lu Xun established the relationship between scientific rationality and humanistic ideal to deeply dig in the “light of humanity” in the evolution of science,thus obtaining a unique perspective of enlightenment.It is these complex views of science that makes his scientific ideas and theories have realistic significance in May Forth Period and even the present time.
