Study On Han-shan Deqing's Surangama Sutra General

In the history of Chinese Buddhism,the late Ming Dynasty was an important stage of the sinicization and secularization of Buddhist thoughts.At that time,Buddhism thought and Confucianism and Taoism both presented a fusion trend,which provided a new direction for the development of Chinese Buddhism culture.This paper explores the main ideological orientation of Deqing and the ideological characteristics of The Surangama sutra in the context of the late Ming Dynasty through the investigation of Han-shan Deqing's "The Surangama sutra General".The study focused on four areas:The first is the life and writings of Han-shan Deqing.The memoir of Han-shan Masters and The Han-shan Collection are used as the main materials to summarize the life experiences,religious practices and social interactions of Deqing,and to explore the special meaning from Shurangama sutra to him and the realistic motives for writing Shurangama sutra General.The second is the ideological theme of "One Mind,Three Views" and the way of writing up the Surangama sutra General.According to the interpretation convention,the judgments and structure of the Surangama sutra General were expressed,and the purport of "One Mind,Three Views" was analyzed,and it was believed that Han-shan Deqing borrowing the theory from The Awakening of Faith in Mahayana to divide the main part of the Shurangama Sutra.It also explains the origins of "One Mind,Three Views" in Buddhism.The third is the ideological characteristics of the "The Surangama sutra General".Through the use of the four-pointed mindset by Han-shan Deqing,the author interprets the characteristics of the classics,and through the close reading of the interpretation of the section "The World Continues",it is believed that Deqing integrated Confucianism and the Taoist worldview deeply in the interpretation of the Shurangama Sutra.The fourth is a comparative study of the " Surangama sutra General" and "The Surangama sutra discussion".Taking the works such as "The Surangama sutra discussion" as the comparative text,through the grasp of the controversial issues in the " Surangama sutrastudy" in the late Ming Dynasty,the author analyzes the ideological characteristics of the "Surangama sutra General" and the whole state of Buddhism in this period.The current academic research on the study of exegetics on the Surangama sutrathe of late Ming dynasty is still in the ascendant stage.This thesis takes the classic close reading and case study as the starting point,combines the interpretation of the text and the analysis of the thoughts,grasps the ideology of the "Surangama sutra General",and concentrates on the origin,content structure and ideological characteristics of the "Surangama sutra General".This is not only an interpretation and discussion of Deqing's personal thoughts under a new vision,but also a positive exploration to deepen the study of Buddhism and three religions thoughts in the late Ming Dynasty.
