Boya Chinese textbook,as the most selected textbook for comprehensive courses,is a comprehensive textbook covering listening,speaking,reading and writing.Boya Chinese series textbooks play an important role in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Many scholars and college students have studied it from the perspectives of ontology,culture and second language teaching.This paper argues that the research perspective can be placed on the reflection and function of pragmatic presupposition in textbooks.This paper uses pragmatic presupposition as theoretical basis,and according to scholars’ research of pragmatic presupposition and my own arrangement of Boya Chinese Reading Texts after class,I divided pragmatic presupposition triggers in texts into nine categories,then I selected some sentences and analyzed them.After that,on the basis of existing research,I classified and analyzed the sentences which embodying pragmatic presupposition types in Reading Texts after class.Then based on this,I classified the exercises in the reading text according to the pragmatic presupposition types,then I selected some examples to demonstrate,by doing that I have come to the conclusion that pragmatic presupposition plays an important role in reading teaching.The pragmatic presupposition triggers in Boya Chinese can be divided into narrative verbs,state-changing verbs,restatement adverbs,emphasizing sentence patterns,specific descriptors,time adverbial clauses,contrastive structures,conditional clauses contrary to facts,interrogative sentences that can serve as sentence components.There are three types of pragmatic presupposition: existential presupposition,state presupposition and belief presupposition.This paper tries to make students initially perceive the role and significance of pragmatic presupposition in sentences and texts.Moreover,after-class texts and exercises in Boya Chinese are analyzed to highlight the role of pragmatic presupposition in the process of reading.Pragmatic presupposition can not only make text language more concise,but also provide effective means for foreign students to perceive text information,understandreading text,grasp the author’s intention and improve reading efficiency. |
