With the rapid development of the art category of watercolor painting in contemporary China,using watercolor as a tool to create landscape painting has become a choice for many artists.In the process of creating watercolor landscape paintings,it is necessary for the painter to discover the beauty from the natural scenery.More Specifically,painters should not only preserve the real features of the local characteristics which would emotionally resonate the local audience,but also convert the natural scenery into the beauty in their minds based on the subjective judgment in their works.As we all know,in art practice,the truth is indispensable.It is inconvincible if artwork is out of reality.In regard to beauty,it is also an indispensably important factor in artistic creation that there are various kinds of beauty in the natural world.Combined with my own experience,I explored truth and beauty through the creation process of the watercolor landscape,Hometown.Learning from many watercolor masters as well as devoting my deep feelings about my hometown,I revealed the characteristics of my hometown in my works based on the creating method of realism through discovering and experiencing in nature.
