| This thesis studies the"ziji(自己)"category reflexive, choosing"ziji""benren""zishen""benshen"as the research objects, from the syntax, semantic, pragmatic and diachronic dimensions to do description, interpretation and comparative analysis. There are five parts in this paper. The main part includes three chapters from chapter two to four. The first chapter is the introduction. It summarizes the significance of topic selection, relevant research results, research contents, research methods and sources of the Corpus. In the chapter two we described the syntactic distribution of this group of words in detail, from two aspects: being a syntactic component alone and with other components, and analyze the tendency of their serving as syntactic components through data Statistics. The main syntactic function of "zishen" is to act as an attribute, the main syntactic function of "benren" is to act as a subject, and the main syntactic function of "ziji" is to act as an attribute when it is bare, and when it is an appositive of other components,it’s complementary distribution is to act as a subject. It is foundthat this group of words acts as the object less, which be related to the that the Chinese object position tends to be indefinite, and the reflexive Pronoun has a strong accessibility. In chapter three,we analyzed them from semantic and pragmatic dimensions. It is found that "benren" "zishen" "benshen" is similar to "ziji" in both pronoun and anaphoric, and the other three words can not be constrained as far as "ziji" is.Then,we compared and analyze several sets of basic semantic features, and the semantic feature set of each group of words is obtained by using the Corpus data.In terms of pragmatics,we analyzed the emphasis function, the empathy function and the style color of reflexive Pronoun "ziji" "benren" "zishen" "benshen".The usage of reference and Anaphora all have the function of emphasis, and each of the four words has its own emphasis. All of them can change perspective and have the function of empathy, but none of them have the strong mood of empathy like first and second person Pronoun’s.In the four chapter,we investigated the diachronic evolution of "ziji" "benren" "zishen" "benshen" with the ancient Chinese Corpus. They have been lexicalized one after the other, with the use of referring. In their diachronicdevelopment, they acquire and retain the two common semantic features of the Chinese reflexives.Chapter fifth is the conclusion. This paper summarizes the full text, and points out some shortcomings of this paper,as well as the future direction of further research. |
