Tang Disheng is one of the most outstanding and influential scriptwriters in the history of Cantonese operas. He has created 449 Cantonese opera scripts in his life. The Cantonese operas such as Liu Yue Xue,Zi Chai Ji,Mu Dan Ting Jing Meng,Die Ying Hong Li Ji,Zai Shi Hong Mei Ji,have become the classics of Cantonese operas. These repertoires are all adapted from the classic operas of the Yuan,Ming and Qing Dynasties. The reason why these six adaptations can be widely recognized by the Guangfu citizens is that the repertoire reflects the cultural connotation of Cantonese culture and has created a cultural resonance among the people of Guangfu. As a medium for the adaptation of Cantonese culture and Cantonese operas, the cultural elements of Cantonese in Tang Disheng's creative thought directly determine the cultural connotation of the adaptation operas.Although there are many achievements in the study of Tang Disheng and his plays, there are only a handful of achievements of Tang's adaptations from the perspective of regional culture. This paper first examines the social status quo in the Guangfu area in the early period of liberation and the Hong Kong Cantonese operas in the 1950 s.By examining the background of the era,the creative career and the basic overview of the six adaptations, the influence of Tang's creative background on his adaptation is analyzed.Furthermore,it analyzes the cultural connotation of Cantonese in the six adaptation operas in detail.Cantonese culture is multi-compatible,sensible secular and pragmatic. From the author's broad creative vision, localized creative psychology and rigorous creative attitude, combined with the character image, script structure, plot promotion and writing techniques of Tang's six adaptation operas, this part analyzes the cultural connotation of Cantonese cultured in Tang Disheng's adaptation operas. Then explore the artistic representation of Cantonese culture in Tang Disheng's adaptation operas: vivid local dialects, flexible Cantonese opera music, compatible performances, and elegant stage layout. Finally, sum up the successful revelation of Tang Disheng's adaptation of classical operas and the modern significance of Cantonese opera performance. The multi-dimensional compatibility of Cantonese culture provides an open view for Tang Disheng's creation;sensible and secular cultural tastes promote the localization of Tang Disheng's creative psychology, while also shaping the local style of Tang's adaptation operas; The pragmatic characteristics have influenced the rigorous creative attitude of Tang Disheng's adaptation. The four artistic aspects of the local dialect,Cantonese opera music, compatible performances and stage layout in Tang's adaptation operas once again confirmed its bearing relationship with Cantonese culture. The systematic study of Tang Disheng's adaptation operas from the perspective of Cantonese culture is conducive to a better understanding of the essence of Tang's operas It is not only conducive to promoting the development of Cantonese operas itself, but also conducive to further spreading the Cantonese culture and responding to the call to promote traditional culture.
