Reading can not only help students to master linguistic knowledge,acquire cultural information and build English-learning confidence,but also promote the development of language skills such as listening,speaking and writing,which plays a positive role in improving students' overall ability.However,there are many problems in China's primary English teaching.Our teachers are still influenced by traditional exam-oriented education,which makes them seem to emphasize the practice of language points rigidly and at the same time neglect the training of students,reading skills,resulting in many inefficient and ineffective teaching activities in English reading class.Losing teachers,good instruction,students are lack of basic reading methods which leads to low reading ability,little interest in reading and bad reading habits.This paper compares "Bottom-up"teaching model,"Up-bottom" teaching model and "Interactive" teaching model.With the support of schema theory,teachers can help students establish schematic connections and read the text as a whole.With whole language approach,students" ability of listening,speaking,reading and writing can be practiced in certain context.And with input interaction theory,classroom teaching ensures a large number of language input through effective dialogues.Under the guidance of the principle of subjectivity,activity,hierarchy and openness,this paper presents and analyzes the specific steps of PWP interactive teaching model in the Primary School attached to SYSU.Teachers ensure the feasibility of PWP interactive teaching model in primary school's reading teaching by flexibly designing and adjusting the activities in Pre-reading.While-reading and Post-reading.This research mainly text the effect of PWP interactive teaching model by interview,questionnaire as well as teaching case analysis.Through interview the teachers from grade one to grade six in SYSU,their basic understanding and confusion of reading teaching are comprehended.At the same time,the writer divides two teaching classes to experimental class and control class.Before the experiment,the students,basic reading situation is understood by questionnaire,and the students' reading levels,both from experiment class and control class,are similar which is proved by English reading test.After knowing the difficulties of teachers' reading instruction and students' reading practice,the experimental class carries out PWP interactive teaching model for a year.After the experiment,the reading test between experimental class and control class and experimental class students' identification of PWP interactive teaching model show that this model can effectively improve students' reading interest,reading skills,reading habits,and as well as the development of their comprehensive language ability.Meanwhile,the writer finds that this model can remarkably promote reading interest and language knowledge within a short term,however,its effect on promoting reading skills and comprehensive language ability is limited,which need sustained effect of long-term teaching practice.The study shows PWP interactive teaching model is scientific,which improves teachers' personal ability and teaching skills,and at the same time ensures the development of students' language knowledge,reading skills,reading habits and comprehensive ability.So it has a positive impact on primary school English reading teaching.
