Interest is a psychological tendency of people’s yearning for and obsession with things and active exploration and pursuit,a special conscious tendency,an emotional motivation for learning,and a source of thirst for knowledge.If students are interested in Chinese learning,they will take the initiative to seek the happiness of it.Therefore,we can tell that interest is the internal forces of students’ learning,which make students,create psychological hobbies and pursuits in learning activities.Interest is also the most realistic and active component in students’ learning activities and also an introductory guide for students to learn Chinese well.As Chinese teachers,we should seize all the opportunities to ignite students’ interest,change their passive learning into active learning,to reach such an effect of twice the result with half the effort.No matter what you learn,interest is always the best teacher.While stimulating students’ thirst for knowledge,it also helps teachers get better teaching effect.As for how to stimulate and raise students’ Chinese learning interest,it is an essential skill of every Chinese teacher to know and worth discussing and researching in the teaching activities of Chinese teachers.In specifie teaching activity,there are many channels to do it’ but the key is how we apply it in teaching.In order to stimulate students’ interest in learning Chinese,we should first understand what factors make them lose interest in learning Chinese,what factors make them reduce their motivation for learning Chinese,and find out the real reasons to find appropriate ways to solve and stimulate their interest in learning Chinese.In view of this problem,this paper studies the factors affecting the learning of Chinese of the students of Phitsanulok Pittayakom School in Thailand and puts forward some strategies as for how to raise the students’ interest in learning Chinese.There are two factors affecting students ’interest in learning Chinese in this study.The first is internal motivation.The main factors affecting internal motivation are students’ own needs,including age,gender,personality characteristics and so on.The other is the external environment factor.The external environment is mainly the influence of the external environment on oneself.Family environment,surrounding people,classroom environment,teachers ’teaching methods,textbooks and the role of teachers in learning process are also the external motivation conditions.Stimulating students’ learning interest not only improves Chinese teaching effect obviously,but also plays an important role in students’ further improvement of Chinese learning.In Chinese teaching,teachers should actively take proper strategies to stimulate students’ Chinese learning interest.
