This article takes the 110 programs of "Let’s Talk"(five seasons)as a corpus,and uses the combination of quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis to analyze the humor in the " Let’s Talk " program from the perspectives of pragmatics and cognitive linguistics.speech.This paper is divided into seven chapters:Introduction section firstly discusses a brief introduction to the research status of humorous speech in this thesis.Secondly,explain its research ideas,research methods,and source of corpus.Finally,the research significance and innovation are described.The first chapter mainly discusses the humorous speech of the program from the definition and characteristics of "Let’s Talk".First,we briefly introduce the definition of humor and its classification,and then combine the humorous words of the program to analyze its characteristics and types.The second chapter is mainly the rhetorical mechanism of the humor language of the program.Studying the humor mechanism from the perspective of rhetoric,then reanalysising psychological factors.The third chapter mainly analyzes the mechanism of laughter in humorous language from the perspective of pragmatics,and thus grasps the reasons for the formation of humorous words in " Let’s Talk ".Combined with language examples,after careful analysis based on the principle of cooperation and politeness theory and pragmatic presupposition,I found that " Let’s Talk " is to create humor through the violation of the principle of cooperation and the principle of politeness.In the context of the theory of pragmatic presupposition,the five aspects of “cancellation of presupposition”,“additional presupposition” and “mechanical presupposition” are combined with humorous speech examples for detailed analysis.From the perspective of the use of humorous speech context,analysis from the two aspects of the linguistic context and the verbal contexts.The linguistic context is described from the background of the times and the cognitive background.The verbal contexts from the Perspective of Visual Context and Non-Language Concomitant Context.The fourth chapter is mainly from the perspective of cognitive linguistics.Through the observation and analysis of the actual corpus.Discussing humorous language from two aspects: Framework Transformation Theory and Autonomy-Dependency Theory.The first is to analyze from the perspective of framework transformation theory.Cognitive framework for converting old information to new information activation,new and old information integration re-establishes two transformation modes of cognitive framework.Those are to explain humorous speech.The old information to the cognitive framework of new information activation,that analysis of humour cases will be discussed in term of typical situation,default values,reinterpretation,and nonconventinal meaning respectively.Second is the use of autonomy-dependency theory to explain humorous language.Including autonomous and dependent components are similar in form and content is irrelevant,autonomous and dependent components are not similar in content and content related.Explaining the four rhetorical devices of parody and pun,metaphor and metaphor in humorous speech from these two aspects.The fifth chapter gives a general analysis of the function of humorous speech in the " Let’s Talk " program.The special functions it displays are embodied in three aspects:social communication function;program aesthetics;physical and mental cultivation.The last chapter is the conclusion.Mainly summarize the article,summarizing the main achievements and limitations of this paper,and make recommendations for future related research.
