This thesis mainly studies the "come" and "put" in Kam-Tai languages under the framework of "motion verbs".From the perspective of motion event, using the grammaticalization theory, observing the evolution process of motion verbs "come" and "put"in the serial verb construction. The evolution process outlines the grammaticalization path in detail and based on the theories of cognition, pragmatics, function, typology, etc, fully describes and explains motivations and mechanisms of grammaticalization the motion verbs"come" and "put" in Kam-Tai languages. The semantic evolution of the motion verbs "come"and "pu",in Kam-Tai languages is systematically demonstrated by means of data review and field investigation in the serial verb construction(SVC).The full text is divided into five chapters, the second, third and fourth chapters are the main part of the thesis.Chapter 1 is preface. This chapter mainly introduces the relevant situation of Kam-Tai languages,as well as the research purposes and research methods of this paper, reviews the related researches at home and abroad on the motion verbs "come" and "put".Chapter 2 is serial verb construction and its grammaticalization.SVC is the source of grammaticalization of verbs. The first section of this chapter defines the structure and scope of SVC based on Aikhenvald(2006).The second section promotes the ambiguity of verbs and triggers reanalysis through SVC instability. It demonstrates that SVC plays an important role in the evolution of grammaticalization.Chapter 3 is grammaticalization of the motion verbs "come".This chapter has three sections. The first section introduces the semantics and functions of "come" according to the"come" of single use and the "come" of SVC.The second section discusses in detail the evolution of "come" in the latter part of SVC.The motion verbs "come" can be evolved into directional complement, result complement/phase complement, perfective auxiliary, conjunction, goal preposition, dative preposition,give-verb,cause-verb,adverbial marker. There are three evolution paths. The evolution path I:motion verbs>directional complement>result complement/phase complement>perfective auxiliary>conjunction; The evolution path ?:motion verb>goal preposition>dative preposition; The evolution path?:motion verb>give-verb>cause-verb>adverbial marker. The third section summarizes its evolution.Chapter 4 is the grammaticalization of the motion verbs "put".This chapter has four sections. The first section introduces the semantics and functions of "put" from two aspects:single use and SVC.The second section discusses in detail the "put" in the SVC front("N1+Put+N2+V2+N3")can be transformed into the function of cause-verb,adverbial marker, tool preposition, comitative preposition, coordinate conjunction, source point preposition, time source preposition, path preposition etc.The evolution path I:motion verb>cause-verb>adverbial marker; The evolution path II:motion verb>tool preposition; The evolution path?:motion verb>comitative preposition>coordinate conjunction; The evolution path?:motion verb>source point preposition>time source preposition; The evolution path V:motion verb>source point preposition>path preposition. The third section discusses in detail the motion verb "put" in the SVC post("N1+Vi+N2+Put+N3")evolved into result complement/phase complement, perfective auxiliary, goal preposition, locative preposition, durative auxiliary, dative preposition, direction preposition, target preposition, imperative modal word, etc. The evolution path I:motion verb>goal preposition>goal preposition>imperative modal word; The evolution path II:motion verb>result complement/phase complement>perfective auxiliary; The evolution path?:motion verb>goal preposition>locative preposition>durative auxiliary; The evolution pathIV:motion verb>goal preposition>direction preposition>target preposition; The evolution path V:motion verb>goal preposition>dative preposition. The fourth section summarizes its evolution.Chapter 5 is conclusion. This chapter consists of two sections. The first section summarizes the evolution path of the motion verbs "come" and "put" in Kam-Tai languages.Combined with the existing research results of the motion verb, the common phase of the evolution of the word. The second section points out the shortcomings of this article.
