During a long time, the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language focuses on pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar and writing. Most foreign students have no problem expressing a single sentence, but connecting multiple sentences always gives a feeling of awkwardness and unfluency.Especially in the written expression. This is the problem of ignoring textual knowledge.Happily,in the past decade, the study of TCSL has begun to move from the field of phonetics, vocabulary and grammar to the field of discourse.More and more attention has been paid to the study of discourse bias and discourse teaching.People also began to realize the importance of textual knowledge to the writing of international students in the middle and advanced stages.Based on the discourse construction theory, this paper takes 221 Vietnamese overseas students’compositions in the Beijing language and culture university HSK dynamic composition database as the corpus, analyzes the errors and causes of Vietnamese overseas students’ discourse construction from the macro level and micro level, and puts forward suggestions for discourse teaching. This paper is divided into four parts:the first part is the introduction, which explains the research value, purpose and method of this paper. The second part is the theoretical part, explaining the definition, characteristics and relevant theories of discourse. The third part describes and analyzes the discourse errors in the compositions of Vietnamese students. The fourth part explains the reasons of Vietnamese students’ writing errors and gives some teaching suggestions. |
