Research On The Formal Language Of New Brush Flower-and-Bird Painting

Many excellent works have emerged in the meticulous painting circle in recent years,while the proportion of meticulous flower-and-bird paintings is increasing among various exhibitions,so it can be seen that the contemporary meticulous flower-and-bird paintings is developing in its peak.In the current society,the communication and integration of Chinese and Western cultures enables the painters to constantly explore new painting languages.Therefore,the painters have become more open-minded and began to pursue more diverse forms of creation.The new meticulous flower-and-bird painters rethink the traditional Chinese style of meticulous flower-and-bird painting,draw the nutrition from the tradition,find the inspiration from the current real life and seek the similarities between Western painting and Chinese meticulous flower-and-bird painting,so as to re-integrate and update the visual structure and promote the inner innovation of the meticulous flower-and-bird painting.The introduction of “new meticulous painting” provides some enlightenment for the development of traditional meticulous painting.The painters mainly use the Western artistic expression methods and concepts to innovate the traditional Chinese paintings.Meanwhile,they also start from the traditional paintings to re-excavate the elements of modern and contemporary art contained in the traditional meticulous flower-and-bird paintings while inheriting the skilled techniques and spirit of traditional painting.In addition,they use the traditional techniques to express contemporary concepts,thus highlighting individuality in the creation form and the current social and cultural spirit.In this paper,the painting form language of the new meticulous flower-and-bird painting that has a certain influence on the modern meticulous painting in recent ten years was mainly analyzed from the perspective of the painting form language.Firstly,the definition of the new meticulous flower-and-bird was defined and the development of this phenomenon was summarized.Secondly,the characteristics of the formal language of the traditional and contemporary meticulous flower-and-bird painting were analyzed in the form of cases from four aspects of modeling,composition,color and theme.And then,its characteristics of the formal language were obtained through comparison and the methods used by the new meticulous painters to draw on Western artistic thinking or expression techniques weredemonstrated.Finally,the advantages and disadvantages of the new meticulous flower-and-bird painting in the formal language creation were considered by combining with the current social environment and humanistic context,and the enlightenment provided to us to make artistic creation and how the new meticulous flower-and-bird painting should proceed in the future were analyzed.
