Trading On The Blockade-Economic Difficulties And Foreign Trade In The Central Soviet Area

During the period of the Central Soviet Area,the Communist Party of China was far behind the Kuomintang in terms of economic strength,size of controlled territory,military strength and etc.It had always been a situation of the weak against the strong.However,in the course of "encirclement and suppression" and counter "encirclement and suppression" Campaign,the Communist Party of China grew and developed,which could not be tolerated by the Kuomintang.After failing to eliminate the Communist Party of China and the Red Army by force,the Kuomintang implemented a new policy combining both politics and military actions.On the one hand,it mobilized powerful military forces to encircle the Central Soviet Area,on the other hand,it organized a tight economic blockade to the army and civilians.The tightening policy resulted in severe material shortage problems in Central Soviet Area,causing great pressure to the Party.In order to solve this problem,the CCP members were not afraid of hardships and exploited the internal contradictions of the Kuomintang and the local forces as well as the merchants in the white areas.The Central Soviet Area exchanged industrial essentials for the transportation of industrial essentials into the Soviet area through the massive output of agricultural products,effectively supplementing the living materials of the military and civilians,and providing material foundation for several successful anti-“encirclement and suppression” campaigns.By combing the establishment and regional history of the central Soviet area in this period,this paper discusses the foreign trade strategies of the central Soviet area,and the significance of development of foreign trade contributed to the military and civilian life in the central Soviet area and the development of revolutionary base areas on the basis of on the basis of analyzing the historical facts of the Kuomintang's "encirclement and suppression" and blockade of the central Soviet area,as well as the economic difficulties faced by the central Soviet area.At the same time,the central Soviet area was fearless and indomitable in the face of the Kuomintang and did not panic in the face of difficulties.The way of solving problems with wisdom and courage andpractical actions also became an valuable experience for the foreign trade in the governance of our party.
