The simulated script, product of folk arts spread by word of mouth in transition to printed words in Song and Yuan dynasties, has become literary works mainly on narration, though it cannot erase the signs of folk art.San Yan and Er Pai as the classic simulated scripts of the Ming dynasty,it has always been concerned. This paper attempts to probe into the love at first sight model of the love and marriage theme works based on the analysis of the texts. The first part of the paper analyze and generalize the characteristics of this model.According to rough statistics, there are more than 200 short stories in San Yan and Er Pai,nearly half of which are about love and marriage stories. The plot pattern of love at first sight has become the norm. The basic characteristics of this model, which can be summarized as follows: generality of common emotion pattern, meeting character, meeting place, meeting time, other features and similarity of love at first sight pattern. The next part of the paper inquiries into the causes of this model. This paper intends to investigate its causes from four aspects: the influence of tradition of speech in Song and Yuan dynasties, the impact of ideological trends, the influence of tradition on love and marriage and the effect of intuitive thinking tradition. From the perspective of speaking tradition, the plot mode of "love at first sight" is influenced by previous works and has different forms of expression in simulated script."Love at first sight" is the pursuit of real love and true feelings under the influence of social surroundings. The ideological emancipation with the prosperous development of Ming dynasty made young men and women pursue their happiness more freely and equally."Love at first sight" is consistent with traditional Chinese intuitive thinking mode. The model of love at first sight in simulated script has its own literary origin and has exerted a profound influence on novels and operas in later ages.In the third part of the thesis, the author takes the novel of gifted scholars and beautiful ladies as an example to compare the subtle changes of love-at-first-sight pattern with that in the simulated script so as to demonstrate that the model with both origin and flow is the product of a specific era from a different side.
