In the 2016 Spring Festival Gala,an actress from Anhui-Zhao Wei performed a song named Six-chi Alley. It made many people familiar with the famous story “give way for Three chis politely” in Anhui history. Also,we believe that the refreshing performance form and style remain fresh in our memory now.In different versions of the song,we can find many local opera music elements like Huangmei opera and Beijing Opera,as well as some popular music elements like R&B.But during the making period of the song, the creative base was mainly from traditional Chinese opera elements like Tongcheng traditional folk songs and others music types we mentioned above. When the song performed to public, different performance styles from traditional music and modern music were absorbed, which was expected to be popular with many young people. In this passage,Through the analyses on the art characters and the performance styles of Tongcheng traditional folk songs now,we can make comparisons of the performance styles among Tongcheng traditional folk songs,Huangmei opera, modern popular music and different performers. And the results show that song creation is free from single art form without inflexible methods, and the various performers from different generations have diverse performance styles. We want to analyse the innovation and integration in making procedures through the culture background of Tongcheng traditional folk songs. The innovation of performance styles is a part during the development of traditional folk culture and art,and it finally aims at the reflection to cultural inheritance and protection through discussion.Innovation is a must for art inheritance. It exists for better inheritance, while inheritance must be along with innovation.
