Futurist literature is one of the most important genres of avant-garde literature in the 20th century and Marinetti is the leader and founder of futurist movement. In February 1909,Marinetti published in French the famous Futurist Manifesto in the newspaper Le Figaro. This article completely denied all art forms and cultural traditions in the past and boldly claimed the revolution in poetic language.Due to the political connection with fascism, futurist literature has always been controversial, but in fact, the influence of Marinetti's futurist poetry is widely recognized. The aim of this research is to study the characteristics and value of futurist poetry by analyzing the original Italian text of his poems. The order of development of Marinetti's poetry is "free verse-words in freedom-futurist visual poetry",which casts off the limitation of traditional poetry from all levels of rhythm, grammar and structure. However,it also leads to the difficulty of understanding his works. In terms of literary form of futurist poetry, the idea of "form is content" must be emphasized.By analyzing his vocal poetry and visual poetry,it would be possible to have a deep understanding of the ideological annotations. To discuss Marinetti's poetry,it should be studied with the form, otherwise we may lose the poet's emotional information and the aesthetic value which have been hidden in the verses.
