Beyond Boundaries-The Research Of Maya Lin And Her Works Under The Multi-perspective

Maya Lin,the famous Chinese female designer and artist,besides,she is also a environmentalist.Because of the achievements of Maya Lin in the Art Design Area,and her contribution of Environmental Protection Industry,she has evaluated as "The Most Important Hundred Americans of the 20th Century" and "The Fifty Future Leaders of the United States" of American Journal of Life,and awarded the National Art Medal of the United States in 2009.Therefore,this article takes the Maya Lin and her works as the example,analysis and discussion by literature research method and example analysis method,divided the research contents into two parts.The first part discuss the influences of acquired environmental factors including family,life,education and so on of Maya Lin,and explore the source of Maya Lin’s design thought and method to give a groundwork for the second part of the study.The second part according to the attributes of Maya Lin’s works,divided them into Land Art,Public Art,and Architectural Landscape Design,analysis and unscramble the various representative works,explore the design form,design method and design idea of works.I hope it can bring a bit of an apocalyptic effect for the development of art and design.
